Our menus are designed around fresh produce brought to us from neighbouring farms and the salad and fruit that we grow in our own kitchen garden. The kitchen garden itself is fertilised from compost heaps created from the bio degradable waste from the kitchens. Fruit trees are also planted in the kitchen gardens so that guests can enjoy plucking and eating fresh home-grown fruit. In season extra vegetables and fruits are also made into pickles and preserves. Meat and poultry are bought from nearby farms and are all free-range produce. Eggs are also procured from local farmers. The fish that is served is usually the catch of the day from the nearby river, and is supplied to us by local fishermen.
