The views from Scarista House, a Georgian manse and now a Grade B listed building, are stunning - heather covered mountains, the ocean, and a three mile long shell sand beach. It is one of the most beautiful and remote places to stay in Britain. We offer traditional comfort in well furnished guest rooms and a self catering 'cottage'. We aim for natural, skilled cooking of the ingredients most immediately available, especially the island's wild seafood, lamb, beef and game. We carefully source organic, local or homegrown vegetables and herbs wherever possible. We bake our own bread and cakes, and make our own marmalade, jam, ice cream and yogurt. Dinner [3 or 4 courses], £45 to £53 per person. Wines from £10 a bottle.
