Birch Eco Cottage sits at the centre of our six and a half acre permaculture smallholding in the heart of the South Down countryside. Finished using natural locally sourced materials, the cottage is kept warm by the power of the sun. Here we grow our own organic vegetables, fruit and herbs, and keep chickens and ducks for eggs. Fresh organic produce is available for guests to buy. Our wish is to share the experience of this lifestyle with as many people as possible, and staying in our self catering cottage is an opportunity to do just that. We welcome visitors from across the world to help us and to learn about off grid living. Additionally, we also run courses that include woodturning, basket making, spoon carving and permaculture.
