Nestled in a small hamlet a few steps from the River Dive, this charming 16th century house features a gothic fireplace, huge flagstones, original beams and carved windows with interior stone seats. The house has been carefully restored using ecological materials including lime render and wooden double glazed windows. Thick stone walls keep the house cool in summer. Our pretty garden, which is shared with many bird species, will provide you with organically grown herbs. You will find a variety of organic producers selling cheeses, honey, wine, vegetables, fruits, plants, etc at the many local markets. Situated within the Natura 2000 wildlife protected zone, this house is an ideal base to discover La Rochelle, Green Venice, Poitiers and Cognac.
