Plenty of choice for organic produce just a few minutes walk away

For an eco holiday, why not catch a bus or train to The Judges Library - it places you right in the heart of Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales. It’s the only stone cottage in the historic quarter, just inside the old town wall, with thick stone walls and bedrooms at the rear the cottage. Spacious and cosy, with all the conveniences of town, it's easy to shop for organic and vegetarian choices and ideally placed for day trips. From here, buses and trains go to mountain and coastal National Parks, castles and Stone Age monuments, and the Wales Coast Path. Hosted by Lindsay, a retired eco architect and author of The Secret of Home and Jackie, a therapist, they run an organic alpaca farm at Coed Llys Mill and offer services to help guests find wellbeing.
